- Abstract
The article discusses the rising number of child sex offences involving the internet reported at the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) childline service in England and Wales. NSPCC has suggested various steps that the next government can take to curb these offences including appointing an independent regulator to fine social media companies when they fail to safeguard children and ensuring safer social media accounts for children with default privacy settings.
