- Abstract
The article discusses the hidden side of the successful eastward enlargement process of the European Union. It examines the role of the division between the East and West side of the region and highlights the increasing feminization of migration as a result of the opening of each borders. It also mentions several studies that claim the possibility of women to predominate among migrants and the factors that motivate the feminization migration particularly the growing demand for low-paid labors.
