- Title
Presenze napoletane a Palazzo Buonaccorsi di Macerata: dentro e fuori la Galleria dell'Eneide.
- Authors
Leardi, Roberto Carmine
- Abstract
Inside the multicultural decorative plan of the Eneide Gallery in Macerata, promoted by the Earl Raimondo Buonaccorsi as from 1710, the Neapolitan scola found its place thanks to three renowned names from the artistic scene of the early eighteenth century such as Francesco Solimena, Paolo De Matteis and Giacomo Del Po. Thanks to new research of archive records, complementing those already published, the intent of this work is to question the reasons for the recruitment of these painters as well of a certain "Matteuccio" from Naples, focusing the attention on the possible role played by certain individuals, such as abbot Filippo Buonaccorsi, monsignor Antonio Widmann and the agents Sebastiano and Carlo Antonio Ferri.
