- Abstract
The author discusses the influence of high density lipoprotein (HDL) on the luns by referring to a study on the implications of a low HDL-cholesterol level at 11-12 years of age. He says that using mice which has HDL-deficienct apolipoprotein A-I show an increase in oxidative stress, inflammation and collagen deposition. He mentions various studies concerning the association between serum lipoproteins and lung disease.
