- Authors

- Abstract
Representatives of the main classes of fungicides have been tested for their effectiveness against the scalp yeast, P. ovate. Particular sensitivity was shown towards those fungicides which act on the SH groups of the cell wall and cytoplasmic membrane, i.e. organic mercurials; sulphur, selenium and some of their derivatives; oxines and omadines. Quinones, phenols, fatty acids and heterocyclic nitrogen compounds were relatively ineffective.
