The article focuses on Clinical Utility of Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing. Topics discussed include Cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET) can be conducted in several ways, most commonly is performed as a progressive incremental exercise test that concludes at exhaustion at maximal exercise capacity; and studies have found associations between CPET results and operative complications and mortality, the largest study to date evaluating CPET as a preoperative risk assessment tool.
