Works discussed include: the Puritan document "The Humble Request"; the 1640 sermon "New Englands Teares, for Old Englands Feares" by Massachusetts minister William Hooke; the poem "A Dialogue between Old England and New; Concerning Their Present Troubles, Anno, 1642" by author Anne Bradstreet; and others.
