- Abstract
DecHEMA is accepting proposals for the DecHEMA Prize until October 31st, which awards work in technical chemistry, process engineering, or biotechnology from Europe. The dropout rates in mathematics, natural sciences, and humanities are 50% and 49% respectively. The German Association of University Professors and Lecturers (DHV) emphasizes in its guidelines for scientific exchange with authoritarian states the necessity of sensitive collaboration to solve global problems. The German Research Foundation (DFG) plans to consider ecological sustainability in its funding process. Universities and research institutes in Germany now have legal access to Elsevier journals. The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) confirms that there are no longer any chemical weapons declared under the Chemical Weapons Convention. The United Kingdom will be included in EU research projects again from January 1, 2024. Germany ranks third in the EU in terms of government investments in research.
