- Abstract
The article discusses Tripaphylus (T) musteli and Erpocotyle multiple species (spp.), two little-known metazoan parasites that are potentially pathogenic to smooth hounds, Mustelus (M.) spp., in captivity. Topics discussed include the first full description of an entire female T. musteli published at the "Zootaxa" journal in 2015. Also mentioned are findings suggesting that both species may actually be common parasites of M. asterias.
