- Abstract
The article presents author's opinion on the Environmental Health Training in Emergency Response (EHTER) Awareness Level course offered by the Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) in Anniston, Alabama, U.S. in partnership with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta. According to him EHTER is the first step to a standardized preparedness training program for environmental health practitioners however there is a need for a more uniform training program. Tim Darnell, director for the Mississippi State Office of National Environmental Health Association, the course allows emergency response personnel to taking precautions and protect themselves and their colleagues. The Training is funded by U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
