- Abstract
The article discusses the leadership traits, skills and styles of several American football coaches including Scott Braswell, Herm Edwards and Larry Fedora. Topics include the positive influence of the coaches as teachers and mentors, their ability to motivate the players to play hard and do their best and instill the meaning of teamwork. Also discussed are the classic leadership theory and practices which are relevant to the styles of the coaches.
