- Abstract
One of the most common questions in orthodontic practice: Can we move teeth towards more dense osseous areas? What are the precautions? Should we increase or decrease the intensity of applied forces? In this paper we discuss the reasons why the formation of areas identified as idiopathic sclerosis occurs, as well as it is explained why, when force intensity decreases, the orthodontic movement is optimized in these areas and the possibility and severity of root resorption, when detected, are decreased.
