- Abstract
The article discusses a study that examined consumer practices aimed at reducing food waste. The results are presented at the 44th annual conference of the Association for Consumer Research (ACR) held in Chicago, Illinois from October 3-6, 2013. Topics discussed include the practices consisting of materials, meanings and competences, how consumer bloggers and their readers turn reducing food waste into a collective project of innovation and the role of social media as a site for consumers to discuss and share their consumption practices.
