- Title
IWS Develops New Cloth For Use With Martindale Tester.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the alternative abradent cloth called SM25, for use with the Martindale Wear and Abrasion Tester that was created by the International Wool Secretariat (IWS), together with CSIRO in Australia. According to IWS, the abradent cloth used in abrasion testing since the design of Martindale in 1942 has been subject to changes due to manufacturing difficulties. It discusses that SM25 quality is already in production and is available from James H. Heal & Co. It mentions that the cloth made to the original specification is already unavailable.
