- Abstract
The article focuses on brainstorming as a skill that can be applied to generate ideas and creative problem solving. It discusses a brainstorming session facilitated every August at the start of New Faculty Orientation for 40 to 50 instructors on highly effective teaching. It provides major findings on brainstorming such as that teams seem to generate more and better ideas, the need for facilitators that are positive and high-energy agents and the need to record what transpires during sessions.
