- Abstract
This article discusses the strength and ductility of beam-column joints made of Ultra-High-Performance Concrete (UHPC) and Ultra-High-Performance Fiber-Reinforced Concrete (UHPFRC). The study examines the impact of these materials on the behavior of the joints and uses computational simulations to analyze their strength and ductility. The results show that UHPFRC joints have superior strength, enhanced ductility, and a unique damage progression pattern. The article also introduces the concept of energy-based ductility and validates the computational analysis with experimental data. Additionally, the document provides a list of references that cover various aspects of concrete structures, which can be useful for researchers and engineers studying the design and performance of these structures.
