It's Time We Have "The Talk:" Why Title IX Should Ensure That Schools Teach Comprehensive Sex Education as a Way to Prevent or Remedy Peer-on-Peer Sexual Assault and Harassment.
- Authors
BOWMAN, ELIZABETH
- Abstract
The article argues on the need to reform Title IX by requiring schools to provide comprehensive and consent-based sex education as a way to prevent or remedy peer-on-peer sexual assault and harassment. Topics covered include how schools cultivate a climate ideal for peer-on-peer sexual assault with their poor sex education policies and procedures, case law on a school's liability for peer-on-peer sexual assault, and the underwhelming legislative response to the #MeToo movement.
