- Abstract
The article offers information on the legal history of the prosecution of sitting heads of states and governments in the International Criminal Court. Topics discussed include the implementation of the principle of complementarity in the prosecution against Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta, the provisions of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, and the conviction and sentencing of former Rwandan Prime Minister Jean Kambanda for genocide and crimes against humanity.
