- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 84-year-old male was admitted with an ischaemic small bowel secondary with fever, hypotension, tachycardia and oliguria. His haemodialysis was performed to mitigate the risk of major bleeding and measure the blood flow rate. The article discusses that the haemodialysis is beneficial in mitigating bleeding risk and can be performed prior to the emergency surgery in patients taking dabigatran.
