Abstract
The article presents a speech by Governor Mervyn King which was delivered at the Mansion House in London, England, on June 20, 2007. He elaborates the advantages that are continuously experiencing by the Bank of England as a result of independence given by the Chancellor himself last 2007. He also describes the Chancellor to be moving on as far as both monetary and financial stability of the bank are concerned.
