- Abstract
The article discusses the basic principles of P-value analysis. Topics discussed include the use of P values, which assign a measure of rarity to a single experimental outcome, interpretation of the P value obtained from a single two sample t-tests and the family-wise error rate (FWER), and Bonferroni's correction that helps in increasing power by applying a less stringent adjustment to the P values. It mentions that the choice of correction method depends on the number of comparisons.
