In the article, the author discusses the latest developments in the cultural landscape in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia as of Fall of 2001. She cites the "Fèisean" festivals where the Scottish Gaelic culture are featured. She presents the four-day Gaelic song workshop that was organized by famous Gaelic singer Mary Jane Lamond. She offers information on the one-day "Words and Music of Cape Breton" conference to be held at the University of Toronto in Ontario on November 3, 2001.
