- Abstract
In this context, it is the purpose of this Letter to show that the study of singlet oxygen yields at ultra-high dose rates could provide critical insights into our understanding of the FLASH-RT effect. Is singlet oxygen involved in FLASH-RT? In 2014, a new irradiation method called "ultra-high dose rate radiotherapy" or "FLASH-RT[1]" demonstrated a sparing effect of surrounding normal tissues without compromising the anti-tumor action.
