- Abstract
The article focuses on the Chlamydia which is an obligate intracellular pathogen that reside and replicate in the cytoplasmic vesicles. A recent study reveal that Chlamydia can suppress cell death by pro-apoptotic proteins elimination. It has been expected that the cells infected with this microorganism were protected against UV-induced apoptosis. However, in normal cells, the bisindolylmaleimide (BIM) is being protected by sequestration to the cytoskeleton.
