In this article, the author focuses on how to teach first and second graders to address the engineering design standards through school's STEM education program. Topics include use of the "Learning Through Discovery, Leading With Character" program to host an engineering camp in the summer, importance of the Next Generation Science Standards to unerstand engineering design concepts, and teaching lessons in the 5E format. It also mentions definitions of technology and engineer.
