- Abstract
The article describes the author's work designing a multi-session outdoor science education unit which allowed 4th and 5th grade students to create guided tours of wildlife preserves and mapped them through QR visual codes. Topics addressed include the significance of local ecological instruction for children, determining and enlisting student interests within the activity, and creating a scavenger hunt to include within the field work.
