Title
Indicator of Fisheries Health Questioned.
Abstract
The article evaluates the adopted measure for assessing the state of the world's oceans and fisheries. An international team of fisheries scientists has found that the measure leads to inaccurate conclusions in the ecosystems in which it was applied. Henry Gholz of National Science Foundation says that the most common indicator called an average catch trophic level does not measure adequately the status of marine fisheries. The measure also found to be weak in assessing ecosystem health.
