- Abstract
The article focuses on the self-assessment implemented by the faculty of the Northern Michigan University (NMU) School of Education in Marquette. The faculty assesses the teacher education program and teacher candidate effectiveness based on a developmental phase perspective. The phases include establishment of foundations, exploring the methods and the practice of the profession. The courses it teaches are under the contexts of self-study and include supervised fieldwork in K-12 settings.
