- Abstract
The article discusses a research paper on whether the persistence of disseminated tumor cells (DTC) following neoadjuvant therapy for breast cancer predicts survival. It references a study by R. R. Mathiesen, published a 2012 issue of "Breast Cancer Research". It is concluded that the presence of DTCs following neoadjuvant chemotherapy indicates a high risk of relapse and death.
