Herman, David
- Abstract
The article discusses the cognitive sciences that includes fields such as psychology, linguistics, and the philosophy of mind to help the development of postclassical approaches to the study of narrative. It stated that the representation of Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) or Devil, conveys what it is like to live through the story world-in-flux, highlighting the pressure of events on real imagined consciousness undergoing the disruptive experience at issue. Moreover, the two main directions in cognitive narratology includes explorations of frameworks for mind-related inquiry, and exploration of insights, nomenclatures, and heuristic tools emerging from the study of stories.
