- Abstract
The article discusses the ongoing research and educational initiative on the prevention of noise-induced hearing loss at the University of North Texas. The interdisciplinary initiatives were acknowledged by the National Hearing Conservation Association and the National Institutes for Occupational Safety and Health. The response of the National Association of Schools of Music health and safety accreditation standard to the issue of noise-induced hearing loss is also discussed.
