- Abstract
Intercity railway and regional railway have proposed the "public transport" pattern recently, and over-zone power supply capacity is greatly affected by it. Based on this, this paper compares the specifications of intercity railway and regional railway (AC25kV), analyzes principles of "limited vehicle" and "full support" over-zone power supply mode. Finally, the influence of over-zone power supply capacity is discussed with examples. Suggestions are as follows: (1) Over-zone power supply capacity can be improved by increasing the cross section of the traction network, erecting reinforcing wires and increasing transformer capacity without changing power supply facilities distribution. (2) When construction or operating unit does not put forward a clear demand for over-zone power supply capacity, it should be close to the requirements of the regional railway on the premise that it meets the intercity railway specifications in order to improve the service level of public transport without adding more investment. (3) When 4-car CRH6 multiple units are closely tracked for 3min, the maximum power supply range can reach 40 km under the configuration of contact wire (150 mm²) + catenary cable (120 mm²) and transformer capacity(40 MVA). This result can provide reference for over-zone power supply design of similar projects.
