- Authors
Sullivan, Martin P.
- Abstract
Information on the Annual Conference of the British Ornithologists Union (BOU) held at the University of Leicester on April 3-5, 2012 is presented. The examples of conflict between ecosystem services and traditional nature conservation are provided by Mike Clarke. It adds that the diverse ways in which different cultures value birds and the difficulty in quantifying these values was explored by John Fanshawe. Moreover, the global challenges were reminded by Andrew Watkinson in the final talk.
