Fishman begins his most recent book, I Performance-based family therapy i (Fishman, [3]) by focusing on the broken promises of family therapy. And a family therapy practice research network has been developed, where client outcomes can be assessed regularly and family therapists can receive immediate feedback on how clients are progressing or digressing (Johnson et al., [4]). H. Charles Fishman is a well-known name in the world of family therapy, having co-authored with Salvador Minuchin the classic text Family Therapy Techniques.
