- Authors

- Abstract
This article explores the potential of Pakistan's mineral wealth to drive economic growth and prosperity. Pakistan is rich in mineral resources, including iron ore, coal, copper, gold, chromium, and bauxite. The article highlights the substantial reserves of iron ore and coal in Kalabagh and Chiniot, which can meet the nation's industrial needs for decades. By tapping into these resources, Pakistan can reduce reliance on imports, stimulate industrial expansion, and create employment opportunities. The Punjab government, in collaboration with various organizations, is actively mapping and developing these resources. However, there are challenges to overcome, such as sustainable extraction methods, environmental stewardship, and equitable wealth distribution. International partnerships and investments are crucial for the sustainable development of Pakistan's mining sector. The article emphasizes the need for a balanced approach that considers economic, environmental, and social factors to harness the full potential of Pakistan's mineral wealth and achieve sustainable progress.
