The article examines the social and legal conditions of the indigenous peoples of Ethiopia including the Majan, Anuak, and pastoralists in the Ethiopian lowlands. Information is provided on the effect of pollical instability on indigenous policies before the article discusses "land grabbing" policies and land dispossession.
