- Abstract
This document is the editors' introduction to Volume 21 of the journal Young Scholars in Writing. The editors discuss the theme of "boxes" and how they can limit and inspire us. The articles in this volume explore the limitations of various constructs, such as rhetoric, genre, identity, and writing education. The articles cover topics such as mental health narratives of South Asian individuals, query letters for writers, the relationship between writing studies and literature, metacognitive reflection in peer review, and the role of undergraduate students as researchers.
