- Abstract
The article focuses on the potential of online market in establishing community and pursuing users in the online world. However, newspapers are clambering to transform their print franchise into an online destination. As a result, the Ifra's 14th annual Beyond the Printed Word conference has included case studies of two newspaper Web sites that illustrate, best practices for empowering the community and a session reexamining best blogging practices at various news sites. In addition, Straits Times Online Mobile Print (STOMP) was launched to stimulate the elusive younger demographic segment into interacting with the paper.
