Conservative treatment of idiopathic scoliosis consists of different approaches that depend on the specific clinical situation. Clinical approaches are observation, physiotherapeutic scoliosis-specific exercises and bracing. In the recent years there is growing evidence in favour of bracing, but that evidence is of very low quality. The Cochrane review concluded that bracing prevents spinal curve progression.
