- Abstract
Tourism as an economic activity, is based on the displacement of people, and, as such, was one of the activities that have been most affected by the COVID 19 pandemic, which impacted and paralyzed several processes throughout the industry value chain, in order to address the necessary health measures to protect the population. Tourism infrastructure, such as accommodation, followed the health protocols of distancing, established by state and municipal decrees, paralyzing activities, or even establishing a lockdown. The identification of the impact caused by the pandemic on corporate mobility, from the perspective of lodging facilities, falls on the understanding of the sector's performance according to the tourist demand of visitors. Thus, the current work aims is to investigate the impact of COVID 19 on corporate mobility under the perspective of the lodging facilities, and is characterized as an exploratory and qualitative research, with multiple case studies, having the data collected through a script of structured interviews applied by electronic form addressed to a representative of each of the top corporate management of two of the international hotel administrators that operate in Brazil, according to a report by JLL's Hotels & Hospitality, Accor Hotels International and Meliá Hotels International, and which together represent 182 properties and 36,378 rooms. The investigation took place in two stages, the first stage used the bibliographic survey to identify the concepts and findings based on the keywords, and the second stage was carried out based on the study of selected cases as the object of study, comparing the results collected in the sample vis-à-vis the secondary data obtained in the literature review.
