- Title
Derrida and digital libraries: exploring the (im)possibility of virtual hospitality.
- Authors
Mestre, Juliana
- Abstract
The article explores the application of Derridean hospitality theory to digital libraries. The author defines digital libraries as curated digital spaces in an institutional context, providing access to digitized resources and services. It raises questions about the possibility of virtual Derridean hospitality and mentions potential for a philosophical foundation for hospitable digital libraries, which could be rooted in an ethical concern for the other as a guest and the librarian as a host.
