- Title
Modification of an Inexpensive Closed Circuit Television Unit As Adjuncts to Biomechanical Studies.
- Authors
Gans, Carl
- Abstract
The article focuses on the alteration of the closed circuit television unit to be used for various biomechanical studies. It is inferred that the Sony VCK-2100 television camera allows a better approach in monitoring the activities of different animals in a simple way since monitoring even insensitive animals such as snake is very difficult to perform without the aid of technology because of its sensory input. Two cameras are needed for execution of the monitoring activity, one is for enclosure of the animal and another serves as a chart recorder. Also included are other functions of the television camera which will help in the monitoring study, such as its half-inch tape recorder which can record up to one hour of events in a single reel of tape.
