- Abstract
An essay is presented on some articles, books and pamphlets on English modern architecture published between 1933 and 1936 and produced by noted architects, critics, journalists, and historians of the London architectural scene. It examines and compares the architectural writings of authors including John Betjeman, Morton Shand, and Osbert Lancaster. It also discusses the works' textual and visual languages, rhetorical strategies, and the contexts in which they were produced and published.
