- Abstract
The article presents chapter V of the book "Year's Work in English Studies" which discusses the exclusion of drama in the 16th century after 1550. Topics include two tools for reception study of the early modern book have been produced, the book "Sir Philip Sidney and the Circulation of Manuscripts 1558-1640," by H. R. Woudhuysen, and collections of essays committed to "Spenser's Life and the Subject of Biography," edited by Donald Cheney, Judith Anderson, and David A. Richardson. It mentions that the writing of poet Edmund Spencer dominates the essays chosen and edited by Andrew Hadfield.
