- Abstract
While general didactical models used to be the motor for development in theory formation, their significance is nowadays often denied. They are, thus studies on lesson planning by teachers seem to confirm, impractical and lacking in practical relevance. Against this background, there seems to be no longer room for didactical modelling. This is where the EEPAD project comes into play, the aim of which is to investigate the benefits of general didactics as a profession-specific science for teachers. Its particular focus is on the analysis and evaluation of the planning models on an empirical basis and on their improvement with regard to practicability. Three of the studies that have so far been carried out within the framework of this project are the subject of this contribution.
