- Abstract
This novel dwells upon the relation between the inner self and existence. The major theme in this novel is that of identity, which is being searched by the heroine and at the same time the author of the novel, Henriette Yvonne Stahl, in order to get a primordial answer of her existence: "who am I?". She will definitely get an answer only by approaching the meaning of life in general. Each human being is unique and has a matchless Ego in the Universe. As soon as she approaches the meaning of existence, she will be able to perceive everafter the eternal inner struggle between the self and the cosmic requirements. The individual, as part of the Universe, looks for the Absolute and aspires after perfection, an active adaptation to cosmic requirements. All in all, this novel is a continuous search of identity and of the transcedental elements of the human understanding.
