- Title
Some Chinese Directions in Anthropology.
- Abstract
An interview with Wang Mingming, a Chinese anthropologist and professor at Peking University, is presented. He explains how "nation" posits a challenge to civilizations and regions from an anthropological perspective. He stresses his stand on the idea of fusion implicit and on whether he wants it to be emphasized as a general characteristic of Chinese civilization linked to acceptance of confusion under Tianxia. He also discussed the negative effects of methodological nationalism.
