Hoechst Expanding Capacity For Polyester Monofilament.
- Abstract
The article reports on the move of Hoechst Fibers Industries to expand its polyester monofilament capacity in Spartanburg, South Carolina. According to the author, the 20% expansion plan aims to increase the production of monofilaments which are used for manufacturing zippers, paper machines and other industrial screening applications. In addition, the author notes that the facility also produces spunbounds, staple fibers, resin for beverage bottle applications and for fiber production as well as for pre-oriented yarn (POY) multifilament fibers.
