- Title
Accelerated Study Plan Being Tried At Clemson.
- Abstract
The article reports that Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina and the Sandoz Foundation have launched an accelerated program of Study. The study allows a student to begin work toward an advanced degree while still in undergraduate school. According to the program, selected students at quality undergraduate schools will be designated Sandoz Scholars when they enter their senior year of undergraduate study. Robert H. Barker, associate professor of textile chemistry at Clemson who developed the accelerated program says that the plan can cut from six to twelve months off the time it normally takes to obtain a master's degree.
