- Abstract
Background: Placement of implant into the extraction socket after tooth extraction is becoming more common in dentistry nowadays. Placement of an implant using tricalcium phosphate (TCP) and hydroxyapatite (HA) offers several advantages. The present review focuses on the clinical outcome of implant placement along with HA and TCP in 10 clinical cases. Aim: The study focuses on the success rates, stability of the implants, and amount of new bone formation in fresh extraction sockets augmented with HA and TCP grafts.
